ABOUT
My work is an attempt to help me understand how I feel about the world in which we live. The art I make is rooted in the humanities and social sciences; I believe that an intellectual bedrock is imperative to my abstraction.
If you are interested, an inadequate list of my references is available here.
I work as a major gifts officer for my alma mater and I take immense pride in helping people strengthen higher education, now more than ever.
In past lives, I was a sommelier, bartender, retail seller of wine, festival organizer, waiter, maître d’, honky tonk bassist, yellow pages layout guy, cab driver (tenure: one shift) and labor/community organizer.
I am a decent cook and terrible at wrapping presents.
I think people are fascinating.
I love Madison but most of the time I’d rather be traveling, preferably with my wife who is pretty dope.
